Of all the compliments a patient can give a doctor, one of the most meaningful is this: that the patient has truly felt ‘heard’. Many patients have made this observation about Dr. Karen Snow during her two decades of practicing family medicine, and we are honored to have her join the Woodlands Medical Specialists Primary Care division.
Born in Birmingham, Alabama, Dr. Snow was drawn to family medicine because she enjoys the breadth of the care involved – the ability to treat an entire family or to tend to every stage of life. She earned a B.S. in Biology from Auburn University, then returned to Birmingham and earned her M.D. in 1992 from the University of Alabama School of Medicine. Dr. Snow stayed in the area and completed her residency in Family Practice at Birmingham’s Carraway Methodist Medical Center.
Following her residency, Dr. Snow decided it was time to live closer to the coast. She relocated to Pensacola, Florida, and has been practicing family medicine here since 1995. Married with one child, Dr. Snow is also the Medical Director at Azalea Trace Skilled Nursing Facility – a role she’s held since 2001 – and she has been a Board Member of Health First Network since 2004. Dr. Snow is board certified with the American Board of Family Practice and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, (AAFT) the Florida Academy of Family Physicians, (FAFP) and the Escambia County Medical Society.
Dr. Karen Snow provides Primary Care services at our Nine Mile Location in Pensacola.
