Karen Atkins is a Registered Dietitian. She specializes in diabetic nutrition, oncology nutrition, cardiac-risk reduction and total weight management.
Karen advocates for preventative health, and works to truly educate her patients—not just instruct them. Karen is passionate about teaching her patients the importance of nutrition, and uses an open, judge-free dialog to establish communication that is clear and useful.
Karen completed her Bachelors of Science in nutrition at Messiah College in Grantham, Pennsylvania and continued her graduate education in the area. Upon completing her Masters in Science from Penn State University, Karen was accepted into an internship at the honorable Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida. After falling in love with Florida’s year-round warmth, Karen decided she was here to stay. She moved to Pensacola to enjoy our white sandy beaches and to live near her family. Along with spending time with her children, she enjoys Pensacola’s thriving downtown and “heaven-like” beaches.
Karen Atkins is Florida Licensed and has earned her certificate in Adult Weight Management and Obesity.
