We participated in the 2015 Pensacola Relay For Life on May 8, 2015. Woodlands has been the Luminaria sponsor for this event over the past several years.

Many of our employees volunteered their time to participate. Hundreds of Luminaria bags lined the track and the lights were dimmed during the special Luminaria Ceremony. The words “Hope” and “Cure” were also lit in the stadium to represent the vision of a cancer-free future and a step forward in our fight toward a brighter tomorrow.

“Being the Luminaria sponsor is an honor,” stated Bethany Barfield, CFO for Woodlands Medical Specialists. “Each Luminaria represents a person, and each has a name and a story to tell.  They are our mothers, our fathers, our sisters, our brothers, our sons, our daughters, our friends: our loved ones.  As they glow through the night, they represent our shared vision for a cancer-free future.”
